I am a 200 year old kogitsune, with two tails. Perhaps sometime in the next hundred or so years, with good behavior, I can earn my third tail. I stowed away on a delivery ship full of Suzuki automobiles, and came to the United States, where I currently reside in the home of my friend Michael. (He purchased a car I was asleep inside of.) Kitsune, or fox to westerners, grow in power as they age. After a century, we grow a tail and gain the ability to shape-shift and possess people. Although I'd much rather posess all of Michael's video games. :)
The old stories say that the most powerful foxes are those who reach the grand old age of 1,000 (the so-called nine-tailed fox). When a kitsune gains nine tails, its fur becomes silver, white, or gold, and it gains the power of infinite vision. I'm somewhat nearsighted, myself, and my fur is bright orange. I often use reading glasses. But that's neither here nor there.
Kitsune are renowned tricksters. In many Japanese folk tales, the kitsune appears in the form of a bewitching woman who seduces and tricks unworthy men, or often the form of a travelling priest who rewards and protects deserving people. In human disguise, the she-fox can breed with a man. Both male and female Fox folk can also cast illusions, appear in dreams, and read thoughts. Although it's a bold faced lie that foxes trick people. Most certainly a lie. I would never think of playing a trick on anyone. ;)
I enjoy travelling to different places, and find this country has many different things to see and do. I enjoy reading, particularly comics. I am also very interested in video games, when Michael will let me play them. I also enjoy sushi quite a bit. After all, my name does mean 'Sushi Fox'! And noodles. Steamed, or pan fried, any kind will do. Tofu is also good. Did I mention I like rice balls? The bonito filled are best, I think... I'm hungry...
